Sames McAllen and Harlingen Opens its Doors to the Valley!
October 2, 2023, McAllen, Texas - Sames Auto Group, Texas' Oldest Dealership, proudly announced its most recent expansion through the acquisition of the beloved Boggus Group in the Rio Grande Valley. This strategic move included Sames McAllen Ford, Sames McAllen Lincoln, and Sames Harlingen Ford, further solidifying Sames Auto Group's commitment to preserving family-owned automotive excellence in Texas.
The acquisition of the Boggus Group, scheduled to open its doors to the Valley community on October 2, represented the latest in a series of key acquisitions that followed the successful integration of Paul Young Auto Group in Laredo in 2021. With these three new Valley locations, Sames Auto Group had then boasted an impressive total of eighteen dealerships across Texas.
LISD, Sames partner for vehicle giveaway, promote perfect attendance
The Laredo Independent School District and the Sames Auto Group are celebrating 10 years of partnering as they kicked off the annual Drive Sames 4 Education Perfect Attendance Incentive program Thursday at the Sames Ford auto showroom.
The perfect attendance program was created to monitor and promote attendance at each of LISD’s four high schools. Of the eligible students from Cigarroa High School, Hector J. Garcia Early College High School, Martin High School and Nixon High School with perfect attendance records, Sames will randomly chose 16 finalists.
Available as the grand prize is a new 2022 Ford Escape which will be awarded on graduation day on May 26. The tax, title and license for the vehicle will be provided by the Laredo Federal Credit Union so the vehicle comes at no cost to the student.
Eligibility for perfect attendance recognition requires students to be present every period of every day, to be actively enrolled and present at their campus from the first day of the school year and to have no unexcused late arrivals.
Any absences within the exclusion list require documentation be provided within three school days. Some possible exclusions include medical appointments, court ordered appearances, visiting a college campus, activities approved by the school board and religious holy days.
To track attendance for the program, LISD distributed color-coded vouchers to the schools. After each nine-week period, students with perfect attendance can take their signed vouchers to Sames Motor Company.
The deadline to deliver vouchers for the first period is Oct. 28. The next deadlines are Jan. 21 and April 8, and the final deadline is May 13.

SAMES BASTROP LAUNCHES DRIVE SAMES 4 EDUCATION
FOR THE 2022/ 2023 SCHOOL YEAR!
The purpose of the Drive Sames 4 Education Perfect Attendance Program is to motivate, monitor, and promote attendance in Bastrop ISD high schools. Sames Auto Group has successfully launched this program in other cities 6 years ago. Over the course of time, an increase in attendance has been seen across the districts. This will be the first year the Drive Sames 4 Education will be implemented across Bastrop ISD high schools. Four students from each high school will be selected to participate in the final give-a-way of a brand new Sames vehicle. Prosperity Bank will donate the tax, title, license, and registration fees associated with the giveaway enabling the winning student to drive away the new vehicle with all costs paid.
